[Via Slashdot] Guardian (UK) story on imminent posting of World War II aerial photos online. From the article: “The entire archive of more than five million aerial reconnaissance photographs, shot by the RAF over Western Europe during the conflict, is going online from Monday.” That’s history: http://www.evidenceincamera.co.uk/ (URL isn’t working yet… we’ll see if that changes tomorrow, or whether traffic is such that it remains unavailable). I’d be interested to compare the aerial photos of today with these from 50 years ago to see how former battlefields, etc., have been reclaimed by the living.
